Big Brother Canada Season Season 9 houseguests will discover a “post-apocalyptic world” in the abandoned house and will take on new twists and challenges in their attempt to emerge as the winner of Big Brother Canada Season 9.

These houseguests will be competing for a $100,000 cash prize, a “money bag” provided by Sunlight for $10,000, an airplane vacation for two from Expedia, and $10,000 worth of grills and grilling accessories provided by Weber.

He’s a 25-year old personal trainer from Aurora, Ontario, and he’s also a self-described ladies’ man. Ooh boy.

“My strategy is to keep my educational background a secret and get into a strong, undercover alliance of four to five people. Win when necessary, but not every time (avoid being a target). Work a strong social game, play on emotions of others, try to be ‘good’ with many players. Appear to struggle in mental competitions early in the game. Explore a low-key showmance if the opportunity presents itself.”

Austin Dookwah

Hometown: Newmarket, Ont.
Occupation: Realtor/model

She is a 23-year old realtor/model from Newmarket, Ontario, and apparently she is a super-fan of the show! We’ll see how that shakes out.

“My strategy is to lay low and act unassuming at the beginning – then school everyone in the memory comps toward the end.”

Julie Vu

Occupation: Social media influencer

With over 500,000 subscribers on YouTube, Julie is entering the show with the largest overall audience. She works mostly within the beauty/fashion space.

“My strategy going into the house is be extra friendly, find real common interest with everyone, form a four-person alliance, and dumbing myself down.”

Beth Bieda

Age: 27
Hometown: Tomahawk, Alta.
Occupation: Homeless support worker

She’s a country girl from Tomahawk, Alberta, but one with trauma training and a number of valuable physical/mental skills that could help her combat adversity. She works day-to-day as a homeless support worker.

“My strategy is to find a ride or die on day one! I’ll probably lay more low at the beginning, but then pull a Tyler (from Big Brother U.S.) and have secret alliances around the house. And like Paras or Mitch, make other people do my dirty work.”

Kiefer Collison

Hometown: Old Massett, B.C.
Occupation: Radio host

 The 31-year old radio host from Old Basset, British Columbia is hoping that he can come across as laid-back in the early going — that way, no one is afraid of him.

“I will be very social. Try to build relationships with other houseguests.”

Breydon White

Age: 23
Hometown: Calgary
Occupation: Anthropology Student

He’s a 23-year old anthropology student from Calgary, and signs point towards him being a big personality and someone willing to do whatever it takes to win.

“My strategy is to be liked so much by everyone that they can’t get rid of me. Also, to be a master manipulator.”

Kyle Moore

Age: 26
Hometown: Red Deer, Alberta.
Occupation: Unemployed Hockey Coach

He’s a 26-year old Unemployed Hockey Coach from Red Deer, Alberta. Kyle plans to make as many connections as possible and dominate the competitions in hopes to become the BBCAN9 champ.

His strategy going into the house is to be likable and develop connections with everyone in the house. He wants to dominate in the competitions, find that one ride-or-die houseguest and stay true to that alliance.

Latoya Anderson

Age: 34
Hometown: Pickering, Ont.
Occupation: Police officer

She is fascinating from the get-go. She’s a 34-year old police officer from Pickering, Ontario, but plans to enter the house saying she is a fashion designer.

“I’m going undercover. The houseguests will not know I’m a police officer and that I have a degree in criminology. I will be a fashionista/fashion designer. I plan on forming more than one alliance and hopefully gaining the trust of most of the house.”

Josh Farnworth

Age: 30
Hometown: New Westminster, B.C.
Occupation: Film production co-ordinator

He’s 30 years old, which somehow feels old by today’s reality TV standards. He works as a film production coordinator and is from New Westminster, British Columbia. He wants to use his intelligence to go far; we’ll see how that goes.

“My strategy is to start a four-person secret alliance with a potential showmance in the alliance.”

Rohan Kapoor

Age: 26
Hometown: Toronto
Occupation: Strategic partnerships manager

The 26-year old is from Toronto, where he works as a Strategic Partnerships Manager. He claims that he’s well-rounded in all aspects of the game, which will either make him a threat or an early target.

“My strategy is to create an alliance with five people, all with different skill sets. I plan to be quite active in the first half of the game by destroying the plays and calling the shots.”

Tychon Carter-Newman

Age: 29
Hometown: Montreal
Occupation: Urban planner

 On paper, he feels like one of the strongest candidates of the guys to do well. He’s a 28-year old urban planner from Montreal, and it feels like he has both the physical skills and life experience to do well.

“My strategy is to be in a co-ed alliance balanced with social, physical, and mental strengths. Also, I want to make sure I establish a relationship with everyone.”

Tera Gillen-Petrozzi

Hometown: LaSalle, Ont.
Occupation: Mom/spin instructor

She’s 37 years old from LaSalle, Ontario and works as a spin instructor. She wants to show other moms out there that they can still fight to make their dreams into a reality.

“If the houseguests think I’m a super positive, vertically-challenged mom having a mid-life crisis, perfect! The less threatening I appear, the easier it will be to walk away with the cash.”

Occupation: Youth advocate

A 27-year old youth advocate from Hamilton! She’s sociable and wants to rely on her energy and enthusiasm to go far.

“My strategy is to be fun, present, and approachable. I plan to make a female bestie, and divide and conquer. I will also find the strongest guy in the house and see if they want to secretly work together.”

Hometown: Paradise, N.L.
Occupation: Graphic designer

“My strategy is to be the friendly Newfoundlander! I will also want to really meet and size up the competition first, then my strategy will evolve from there.”
