Star Awards 2023: Your World in Mine Wins Two Awards

The highly anticipated Star Awards 2023 season has once again kicked off to honor the best in local Mandarin television. The annual event began with a glamorous gala dinner at the JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach on March 30, where behind-the-scenes talents were recognized for their achievements.

Among the seven awards presented that evening, runaway hit drama Your World In Mine emerged as the big winner, bagging both the Best Drama Serial and Best Theme Song awards. The drama, which premiered in July last year, stars a talented cast including Huang Biren, Yao Wen Long, Hong Ling, and Richie Koh, and tells the story of a family struggling to cope with the pressures of life while caring for a teenager with an intellectual disability.

Your World in Mine

As the Star Awards 2023 ceremony draws near, several of the Your World In Mine cast members are in the running for performance awards. Huang and Hong are vying for Best Actress, while Koh and Desmond Ng are contending for Best Actor. Additionally, Xiang Yun and Lina Ng have been nominated for Best Supporting Actress, while Zhu Hou Ren is up for Best Supporting Actor.

Other awards presented at the gala dinner included Best Radio Programme, which was won by LOVE 972’s The Breakfast Quartet, featuring Marcus Chin, Chen Biyu, Dennis Chew, and Mark Lee, and Best Short-form Entertainment Programme, which was awarded to Mr Zhou’s Ghost Stories @ Singapore Sightings.

The event was hosted by Dennis Chew and Hazelle Teo and was attended by industry talents and artistes, including Kym Ng, Qi Yuwu, Pierre Png, and Richie Koh, among others. The evening was punctuated with electrifying performances by Ke Le, Daryl-Ann, Tasha Low, Das DD, Benjamin Tan, Edwin Goh, Jaspers Lai, Noah Yap, and other artistes.

The Star Awards 2023 ceremony will take place on April 9 and will be telecast live on Channel 8 and Channel U, with a simulcast on meWATCH and Mediacorp Entertainment YouTube channel. The Backstage Live segment will run from 3.30pm to 10.30pm, while the Walk Of Fame will take place from 5pm to 6.30pm. The Star Awards 2023 Live Show will take place from 7pm to 10pm. Fans who miss the live telecast can catch the repeat telecast on April 16 on Channel 8.
