Big Brother Canada is a spinoff of the Dutch reality TV series Big Brother. The show follows the same format as other versions of Big Brother, where contestants live in a house together with no communication with the outside world as they compete for a cash prize.

The ninth season of the Canadian reality television series Big Brother Canada features 14 houseguests from all walks of life competing for the grand prize of $100,000 cash prize, a “money bag” provided by Sunlight for $10,000, an airplane vacation for two from Expedia, and $10,000 worth of grills and grilling accessories provided by Weber.

The 14 Big Brother Canada 9 Houseguests who competing for the grand prize this year are Austin Dookwah, Rohan Kapoor, Tychon Carter-Newman, Julie Vu, Kiefer Collison, Breydon White, Kyle Moore, Latoya Anderson, Beth Bieda, Josh Farnworth, Tera Gillen-Petrozzi, Victoria Woghiren, Jedson Tavernier and Tina Thistle.

Each week, the houseguests will compete in challenges for power and safety before voting each other out of the house. When only two houseguests remain, a Jury of previously evicted houseguests will decide which finalist will be crowned the winner.
