Qi Yuwu Advises Parents During Dark Angel Series Interview

During his recent interview with AsiaOne, actor Qi Yuwu decided to lecture parents on being protective of their kids.

 

Chinese-Singaporean actor known as Qi Yuwu has decided to give his two cents on a parenting anomaly. In his recent interview concerning the new drama he stars in, Dark Angel, Qi Yuwu spoke on something important about parenting. He stated that he has the sole responsibility of protecting his children from the dangers of this world.

 

Qi Yuwu decided to speak on how there are constantly developing dangers of this world. Adding that parenting isn’t just dealing with your children, it also includes dealing with the era they’re in. This actually makes sense because of how lots of parents out there are actually hell-bent on attending to matters only related to their children. Most of them aren’t focused on the people their children will grow up with, the era they’ll live in and also what surrounds their children.

 

Qi Yuwu, a father of two, shared this brilliant perspective of his while also adding that times are different. He went on to talk about how the world while he was young, was different. He said, “Society is in flux between different eras. When I look at society now and compare it to when I was a child, the world is completely different”.

 

He also talked about how he is trying so much to understand his children as it is much more important. Qi Yuwu also added that there may be times where he is able to understand them but cannot accept their reasoning. “That would be the challenge of parenting”, he said.

 

It’s also worth to note that Qi Yuwu is married to the love of his life, Joanne Peh, who is also an actress.

Back in 2013, the duo announced that they were dating and this actually took fans and netizens by storm. It came like a surprise announcement as no one even suspected a thing. There were lots of talks, rumors and speculations back then about the two of them. This even made them go viral that year as both of them were nominated for Top 10 Most Popular Male and Female Artistes.

Qi Yuwu and Joanne Peh got married in 2014 and they are still waxing strong. 45 years old Qi Yuwu and his wife (39 years old) now have two wonderful children, aged five and seven.

 

Yuwu In Dark Angel (黑天使)

If you have not started watching this interesting series yet, you should actually give it a try. Qi Yuwu plays an intriguing character who is actually a mysterious lawyer known as Zhu Wei. Zhu Wei works alongside He Ziyuan (played by Zoe Tay) in order to help her discover who attacked her family.

This is actually not Yuwu’s first role as a lawyer in Mediacorp drama. He was also cast as a lawyer character in The Family Court which was released in 2010. In 2019, he also played the same lawyer-like character in the Day Break drama. Other stars in the cast of Dark Angel includes: Rayson Tan, Aileen Tan, Lina Ng, Jeffrey Xu and Chew Chor Meng.
