If you are a fan of spooky or eerie rides and events, then you should be joyous for this new Harrowing Halloween 2 announcement. This year’s edition of Harrowing Halloween at Singapore Discovery Centre (SDC) is close-by, you wouldn’t want to miss it.
After having a wonderful sold-out event last year, the Singapore Discovery Centre has decided to bring it back. According to SDC, the Harrowing Halloween 2 event will be bigger and better than last year’s own. The event will span across ten special nights through the whole of October. The special dates are: 1st, 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, 28th, 29th and 30th, all on October.
Harrowing Halloween 2 will have a lot of special spine-chilling activities for its visitors this year. As a visitor, you can either have the HH Haunted House Pass which is S$20 or the D.I.E Pass which is S$50. For more information on this, you should check out Singapore Discovery Centre’s site.
Harrowing Halloween 2 Free Activities
1. Special Exhibition (Does it Bug You?):
With this, visitors can stop at the event’s sustainability showcase. They can also freely explore around, face their fears or flee from it. If you’re the type of individual who is afraid of bugs or creepy crawlies, then you should watch out.
The timespan for this activity would be from 7pm to 11 pm, the location is at the Concourse.
2. Interactive Zone (Block 444):
You’re told to bring along the pre-travel Lucky charms you have. You also get the opportunity to check out several other superstitions from around the world.
The location for this one is at the Function Room and it will be opened to public walk-ins according to center opening hours.
3. Chill Out Zone (Terminal 6 – Departure Hall):
Visitors can spend time, chill and relax at the ‘Departure Lounge’. This is also located at the Concourse and will run from 7pm to 11pm also.
4. Fringe Activities (Transit Lounge):
Before you get to explore SDC, you are expected to leave your bags at their baggage counters. This lounge is free to use and you get access to craft activities, trail, games, tattoos (temporary) and access to the redemption booth.
Premium Harrowing Halloween 2 Activities
1. Haunted House (Flight 013):
Remember that this event is all about scary and chilling activities. The journey on Flight 013 through mysterious jungles and islands is one of those activities you should watch out for.
The price tag for this activity is just S$20, there’d be 20% discount for SDC members and Singapore Polytechnic students only.
2. Permanent Exhibits Gallery After Dark Tour: (Law) Lore of a Hungry Ghost
With this activity, visitors get to dive into stories of other-worldly friends. They also get to learn more about Chinese superstitions via an interactive interesting tour.
This will be available from 7pm to 11pm with approximately 40 minutes per timeslot. The price tag for this activity is S$10, there’d be 20% discount for SDC members and Singapore Polytechnic students only.
3. Screening of Short Horror Films
Visitors can sit back, relax and enjoy short horror films at the iWERKS Theatre before their next flight. According to SDC, students from Temasek Polytechnic’s Diploma in Digital Film & Television programme, are the producers of the films.
This will be available from 7pm to 11pm with approximately 30 minutes per timeslot. The price tag for this activity is S$5, there’d be 20% discount for SDC members and Singapore Polytechnic students only. Visitors also get to enjoy unlimited entry to iWERKS Theatre.
Individuals with severe health conditions are advised to not participate in the Harrowing Halloween events. Food or drinks will also not be allowed in the Haunted House and it’s recommended for ages 13 and above.
