The very first Female Fisherman on the show, the very first Houseguest from P.E.I. Vanessa Clements appeared as a houseguest on the 8th season of the Big Brother Canada show in 2020. 

Prides in her self accomplishment of being a successful female Lobster fisherman in a male dominated industry. Vanessa was 26 years old when she appeared on the show in 2020, she was from Mill River, Prince Edward Island. Throughout the premieres and pre-show interviews, Vanessa Clement did not fail to express her excitement on being selected and also being the first houseguest from P.E.I.Due to her nature of job as a fisherman, Vanessa has traveled wide and even worked on cruise ships. 

Vanessa Clement entered the show with warnings that she is “proud Lobster Fisherman who is excited to represent P.E.I and plans to hook the houseguests into underestimating her mastermind manipulator skill”. 

Nicknamed Nessie, Vanessa Clement was active in the house at games and competitions. She had bonds with most houseguests but was not a member of any alliance and her Loyalty was with Kyle Rozendal. She did her competitions well but did not win neither a Head of Household (HOHO) nor Power of Veto (POV).

Vanessa Clement was one of the houseguests affected by the sudden end of the show by the organizers due to the tragic hit of the Covid-19 pandemic. 

Since the commencement of the Big Brother Canada show, every edition of the show was always aired for a period of three months plus. Due to Corona complications which made the whole world shut down all human activities in March/April, the season 8 edition was called off on the 25th day after commencement, barely making a month On Air.

After the show was called off and Vanessa Clement was declared a co-winner of the season, Vanessa went back to P.E.I to continue her fisherman career. Vanessa Clement is active on both Instagram and on Twitter.
