Grey’s Anatomy star, Kate Walsh, is finally off the market. The American actress recently announced that she is now engaged to her partner, Andrew Nixon. Kate Walsh’s engagement reveal actually seems to be accidental and it has gotten some of her fans congratulating her.
On Wednesday (Oct. 5), Walsh had a live session with Amy Brenneman, her former colleague on the Private Practice series. The two of them were celebrating the 15th anniversary of the medical drama TV series. Private Practice aired on ABC for over 5 years, from 26th of September, 2007, to the 22nd of January, 2013. The series was actually a spin-off of the Grey’s Anatomy series. Walsh and Brenneman played the iconic Dr. Addison Montgomery and Violet Turner respectively.
During the live video on Instagram, Andrew Nixon walked into the room and Walsh said “Here comes the jungle cat, that is my fiancé”. Brenneman then replied to Walsh’s statement, telling them how she just 100 percent outed their engagement. Walsh then said “I did, I just outed our engagement.”
Kate Walsh Engagement Isn’t Surprising
According to several reports, Walsh and Nixon met each other on a cruise in early 2020. The lovely couple now share a home in Perth, Australia. During the COVID pandemic, Walsh and her husband-to-be actually spent the lockdown together in that same house. So when she accidentally made this wonderful announcement, we were already expecting it. The two of them have also been noticably close. We do not know when they would get married but it’s beautiful to now know that they’re both engagement.
Kate Walsh also took to her Instagram page to share a photo of two cocktails. She also tagged the photo with “celebrating with andynix1”. For those who don’t know, Nixon is actually Nixon Farming, a family farming enterprise in Moira, Western Australia.
Meanwhile, apart from this recent Kate Walsh engagement announcement, the 54-year-old actress also got fans talking after she made a big reveal concerning Grey’s Anatomy Season 19. Lots of fans were asking questions concerning if she would be returning as Dr. Addison Montgomery for the new season. The actress later took to her Instagram page to confirm that she’d be in the new season.
