If not for any other thing, Merron Haile was popular and well loved by Canada because of his heart melting smile. Merron Haile was a contestant on the Big Brother Canada Show in 2018. Although he did not stay as long as he had expected, he sure left a footprints in the hearts of his fellow houseguests and in Canada’s heart.

Merron Haile was a 22 years old Business Student from Edmonton, Alberta, where he lives and schools. He describes himself as charismatic, fun, loud and humble. Merron believed he would be the harsher version of Big Brother if he was Big Brother. He is a believer in consequences for every action a man takes. Merron said if he was Big Brother, he would make harsher consequences for losing a competion. Although, at some point, he would have to loosen up a bit to allow relaxation and stress relief. Merron claims that the consequences part of Big Brother is one of the reasons he auditioned for the show and that he is ready for what is coming. He also said that he really did not have that much of a strategy but he hoped he wins the first Head of Household as that will give a good ground to start his game.

For some reasons best known to them, Erica Hill and Olivia Riemer had made Merron Haile their target since the fourth week. In the same fourth week, Olivia Riemer won the Head of Household and she nominated Meron Haile and Ryan Ballantine for eviction. Canada voted and saved Ryan Ballantine from eviction causing Olivia Riemer to lose all her holds and setting Kaela Grant after Erica Hill. However, Olivia nominated Hamza Hatoum to join Merron on the block. Due to Canada’s intervention, his two enemies had their hands full with other immediate problems to solve. For a while, the attention was off Merron although he was still on the block after Hamza Hatoum was evicted.

The next week, Erica Hill gained little control when she won the following Head of Household competition. She used the power to renominate Merron on the block and also nominate Johnny Mulder to join him on the block. This time, Merron was the main target. The next competition which was a Power of Veto competition was won by Johnny Mulder. Being the winner, Johnny refused to use the Power of Veto since he knew Merron Haile was the main target. In the 6th week on the 34th day, Merron Hale was evicted from the Big Brother Canada Show by a 5-3 vote. The vote results showed that Merron Haile was not everyone’s target but the Big Gun’s target.

Merron finished 11th place and he is one of the few houseguests to be nominated during both parts of a double eviction and still survive. He was a member of The Gate Crashers Alliance and White Room Alliance. His loyal allies included Hamza Hatoum, Veronica Doherty and Andrew Miller. He had no HOH win and no POV win.

Merron Haile is active on Instagram.
